The Clean Energy Investment Program (CEIP) was created to promote energy efficient or renewable energy (EE/RE) products and technologies in Florida by providing funding to businesses to increase the use of EE/RE technologies, equipment, and materials in the State. The Florida Energy and Climate Commission provided approximately $36 million to capitalize the CEIP from funding received through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Since inception, there have been nine investment commitments made totaling $32.5 million, and there were five active investments totaling $13 million as of June 30, 2022.
